Feminism Ruined Womens' Lives? Not Really  Oct 15, 2009
I WAS BORN IN 1951 AND WAS PART OF THE MOVEMENT AS A YOUNG WOMAN IN THE 70'S. MY MOTHER OFTEN COMMENTED ON HOW MUCH BETTER MY LIFE WAS THAN HER GENERATION AND I ALWAYS FELT I HAD MORE CHOICES THAN THE GENERATIONS BEFORE ME. I WAS AS HAPPY AS ANYONE COULD BE AND I NEVER FELT LIMITED. I HAD FRIENDS IN HIGH SCHOOL WHOSE MOTHERS HAD BEEN DIVORCED AND THEY EITHER HAD TO WAITRESS, CARHOP, BECOME A NURSE OR A TEACHER AND NOT MANY OTHER OPTIONS WERE OPEN TO THEM. I ON THE OTHER HAND COULD APPLY FOR... (CBS News)

Thank You, Sarah Palin  Jul 23, 2009
Sarah Palins feminine appearance, charm, and rhetoric transformed the dowdy image of female leadership a la Betty Friedan, Bella Abzug, Madeline Albright, or Janet Reno. With her casual and humorous approach to public speaking and her down-home expressions, she made harsh feminist diatribes seem empty, meaningless, out-of-touch and out-of-date. (Townhall.com)

Bella Abzug, representative from New York (1971-1977), once said this: "We need laws that protect everyone. Men and women, straights and gays, regardless of sexual perversion . . . ah, persuasion.". Perhaps the king of stupid words was Vice President Dan Quayle, who said: "Target prices? How that works? I know quite a bit about farm policy. I come from Indiana, which is a farm state. Deficiency payments-which are the key-that is, what gets money into the farmers' hands. We got loan, uh, rates,...
